I took this in march. i was taking photos with a friend of mine. this is one of my favorites. i love photography, and i wish i still had a camera. This picture comes with a thought about seeing God around us.
I don't see God everyday in the nature around me, but rather the people. Because the trees only give beauty, people give hope.

sports talk
I love sports. sports make me smile. I have played every well known sport in america (including water polo). when i watch sports i get really into it. people around me disappear and i become envoloped.
super bowl parties are bad for my health because of this. (because people dont like being "ignored".....i cant help it....sorry)
sports are a passion of mine.
God is something else i try to be passionate about. Sports are temporary, one day i wont be able to step onto a soccer pitch. But every minute of every day, i can be doing the good work of God.
When it comes to passion, it has a key element that is often left out of things we do in our everyday life. (including church)
Its called feeling.
and not just in the moment feelings like, happy, sad, mad, tired, upset. But more importantly ones such as; Joy, Hate(not a good one), depression, and love.
But so many people fall into a catagory that is so empty of feeling. The apathetic group.
A lot of people live their lives, but are not really alive. they do things without much thought as to "why?".
and they dont consider the potential their lives have.
i dont want to be that way. i want to have purpose.
i want everyone to live with purpose and passion. because its sad to think of lives wasted.
and i want everyone to love God the way he loves us.
I want us all to be passionate.

Five star to the face
I messed up today, I snapped off to the team manager/chapalin saying "hi, nice to meet you. i play for this team to in case you forgot." and thats all i said.
his 13 year old sister went into surgery at 8:30 tonight nebraska time.
i apologized a little while after i said it. and when i found out about his sister when the team prayed after practice, i nearly died.
I had promised myself and God i would never allow this to happen again. that i would never be a part of another persons pain and difficulties. i got a wake up call today when i slipped.
please pray for heath's sister, heath, and his family as they go through this tough time.
im sorry heath.

They truly are special in Gods eyes.
I haven't written in a long time (about 3 weeks), and I realized tonight that I havent written because ive been “busy”. I have had class, soccer, homework, and making friends going on so much that I havent noticed how caught up in living my life ive become that I havent always been focused on God. That needs to change now and never change back.
I have been thinking for a long time (8 weeks..... more than 48 hours = a long time) about what I would do with a special education/secondary english major. And one thing that has stuck with me is the idea that I like special education because I love the kids ive worked with. They are great. I worked with this guy named danny for a whole semester. He was always happy to see me and always smiling. He loved racecars and watching races. He was also really good at basketball. He was a shining star that brightened my day. and my oldest brother jerimiah is disabled mentally, and he is a great guy who loves people. he is a great part of my life. and i had to realize this over time unfortunatly.
And for these 8 weeks ive had the dream to get my special ed degree and then a masters in the buisness of education. With the sole purpose of creating a system all over the world to teach others to accept our brothers and sisters.
I have met so many that say they feel uncomfortable around these “special” people. I understand that, but im sorry because these people deserve the same love we would show anyone else.
Its heart wrenching also to think that all over the world things like this (and much much worse) are happening to these innocents.
But ive been afraid. And by being afraid I have failed. I want to be selfless, but I would be concerned for my safety before the joy and peace of millions.
I am not afraid anymore, because I know God will walk with me every step. And he never is afraid.
I came to other realizations recently. I dont need to be comfortable. I need God. And if I were to sacrifice everything (even my life) for God. I could never be more filled with joy.
And to sacrifice everything so that just one more person would know God would Make life so Good I cant even think of an adjective to describe it. (and im an english nut, so words come easy to me).
Challenge yourself, because once you make that difficult commitment, you realize how easy it really is to serve our beautiful lord.
I would die for anyone. And be happy because I know God would never waste it.
I dedicate myself to God for all of eternity again tonight.
